Organisational Carbon Footprinting Workshop

29th June 2011, The Hatton, London

Increasingly, organisations are encouraged to calculate and report their carbon footprint and for many organisations this can be a complicated task. In order to increase expertise in the market, the Carbon Trust Standard is offering a series of one day training course on the basics of carbon footprinting.

Based on experience of assessing over 500 corporate carbon footprints, the key focus of the course is to:

- Understand the principles of carbon footprinting
- Be able to define, collate and calculate a basic carbon footprint
- Produce a basic carbon footprint report
- Be aware of the main footprinting standards
- Learn about the Carbon Trust Standard

This course is ideal for anyone with a responsibility for or interest in producing and reporting an organisational carbon footprint and those considering assessment under the Carbon Trust Standard. On completion, participants receive a certificate of completion from the Carbon Trust Standard Company Ltd, plus course materials.

Sustainable Energy Decision Making – where to put your money?

RETScreen is a highly sophisticated tool capable of evaluating the techical, financial and environmental impact of a wide range of sustainable energy technologies, both individually and in combination. In association with National Energy Foundation, Hermes Energy Services is presenting a one day workshop to give you the skills to use RETScreen to make robust sustainable energy decisions.

If you understand the principles of renewable energy and energy efficiency, but want to get serious and make investment decisions, RETScreen is ideal for providing robust financial assessments as well as assessing CO2 savings and energy produced/saved.

You will gain hands on experience using RETScreen through a combination of presentation and working through specific cases.

Two renewable energy technologies will be considered in detail and guidance given on other energy technologies.
