MIT modeling shows warming could be worse than expected
A study carried out using the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Integrated Global Systems Model shows that without drastic action to reduce GHG emissions, global surface warming will increase about twice as much by 2100 as previously estimated. The model, which includes detailed information about possible changes due to human activities such as economic growth, may yet be too conservative because it does not fully incorporate positive feedbacks.
